Privacy Policy

Machinami values your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information Machinami processes when providing its services, why that information is processed, and how you can manage it.

In this Policy, “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to the developer and operator of Machinami. This Policy applies to the Machinami app and services directly related to it.

Machinami uses Google Maps Platform to provide maps, place search, and Street View content. Google's processing of related information is also governed by the Google Privacy Policy.

Map and Location Information

When you use the map, place search, or Street View features, related search content, the map area, or information about the selected place is sent to Google as needed to retrieve the requested content.

Machinami accesses the approximate location provided by your device only after you turn on location features and grant system permission. This location is used to show the area around you on the map. Machinami does not request your precise location or continuously access your location in the background.

Except for content you choose to save as a favorite, Machinami does not keep a long-term history of your location, searches, or places you view.

Favorites Information

When you use Favorites, Machinami saves:

• Information needed to reopen the corresponding Street View;
• The time the favorite was created; and
• A custom title that you choose to enter.

Machinami does not store place names, addresses, coordinates, search results, or Street View images returned by Google as part of your saved favorites.

If iCloud is enabled on your device, favorite information may be synced across your devices through Apple iCloud. Apple handles that data under the Apple Privacy Policy. You can delete favorites in Machinami or use the controls provided by Apple to manage your iCloud data.

Crash Reports

Machinami uses Firebase Crashlytics to help identify and fix app crashes.

A crash report is submitted only when you choose automatic crash report sharing or explicitly agree to send a report after a crash. A report may include the app version, operating system version, device model, and technical information about the app's operation at the time of the crash.

Machinami does not intentionally include your searches, location, favorite titles, or Street View content in crash reports. Crash reports are used only to improve app stability, not for advertising or user tracking.

Network and Security Information

When Machinami connects to online services, servers and relevant service providers may automatically receive basic network and technical information, such as your IP address, request time, app version, and the results of security checks.

This information is used only to establish network connections, prevent abuse, maintain service security, and troubleshoot issues. It is not used for advertising or to create a user profile.

Information You Provide

If you contact us by email, we receive your email address, the content of your message, and any attachments you choose to include.

We use this information only to respond to your questions, handle feedback, or provide support. Please do not include sensitive personal information that is unrelated to your request.

Machinami stores on your device the app settings needed to provide its features, such as whether location features are enabled, the last map area you viewed, and your crash report sharing choice.

These settings are used only to remember your choices and provide the corresponding features. They are not used for advertising, tracking, or creating a user profile.

We process relevant information only to:

• Provide the maps, Street View, Favorites, and syncing features you choose to use;
• Remember your app settings;
• Receive crash reports with your consent and improve the app;
• Secure online services, prevent abuse, and troubleshoot issues;
• Respond to your questions and feedback; and
• Comply with applicable law.

Machinami does not offer developer-managed user accounts, use third-party advertising or user behavior analytics services, or sell your personal information.

Machinami uses the following types of service providers to process relevant information only to the extent necessary to provide its features:

• Google Maps Platform, to provide maps, place search, and Street View content;
• Apple iCloud, to sync favorites when iCloud is enabled;
• Firebase, for crash reports you consent to send and necessary security protections; and
• Infrastructure providers that supply network, hosting, and security services to Machinami.

We do not share your information for advertising, marketing, or tracking across apps or websites.

We may disclose necessary information where expressly required by law or where necessary to protect the lawful rights and safety of users, the developer, or the public.

We retain information only for as long as needed to fulfill the purposes described in this Policy:

• Machinami does not retain location, search, or map browsing information as a long-term browsing history;
• Local settings remain until you change them or remove the app's local data;
• Favorite information remains until you delete it and may be synced according to your iCloud settings;
• Crash reports are retained according to Firebase's applicable policies;
• Network and security records are retained only for as long as needed to maintain service security, troubleshoot issues, or comply with legal obligations; and
• Support emails are retained until the relevant matter is resolved and may be archived for a reasonable period.

You can manage your information by:

• Granting or revoking Machinami's location permission in system settings;
• Turning automatic crash report sharing on or off in Machinami settings;
• Choosing whether to send an individual report after a crash;
• Deleting favorites in Machinami;
• Using Apple's controls to manage data in iCloud;
• Deleting the app or using system-provided controls to remove local app data; and
• Contacting us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of relevant information under our control.

Revoking location permission or declining to send crash reports does not affect features unrelated to that information. Features that depend on location may not work properly without location permission.

Machinami does not collect information about children for advertising, marketing, or profiling, and does not knowingly ask children to provide personal information unrelated to the app's features.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe that a child has provided information to us that should not have been provided, please contact us so we can address it.

Google, Apple, Firebase, or other service providers may process information outside your country or region. That processing is governed by their privacy policies, terms of service, and applicable law.

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to limit the collection, access, and use of information and to minimize unnecessary processing.

However, no method of network transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure. If a security incident may affect your rights, we will take appropriate steps in accordance with applicable law.

We may update this Policy to reflect changes to app features, third-party services, or legal requirements.

The updated Policy will show a new “Last updated” date. If a change may materially affect your privacy rights, we will notify you through an in-app notice or another appropriate method.
